Rifugio Lusia is located exactly in the middle of the Alpe Lusia Ski Area, between Predazzo and Moena, at an altitude of 2056 m
The ski area offers 30 km of slopes served by 8 modern lifts. The slopes of the north side in Moena are more technical, steep and engaging for the enjoyment of the most demanding skiers and offer a lovely view on the Catinaccio group.
The south side, that of Bellamonte, instead, with its wide and sunny blue slopes overlooking the group San Martino and the uncontaminated group of Lagorai, is the place of reference for families with children, For those who love to be in the sun in a refuge and for beginners.
And, whether you are a beginner or an expert rider, you can enjoy the board or skiing at the Snowpark Morea in Bellamonte. A 900 m long set up that will allow you to improve your technical skills in jumps and tricks, with snowboarding or skiing, in total safety to give a touch of originality and carefree to your days on the snow.

Experiences beyond skiing.
SLED. If skiing is not for you, or if you simply want to try something different, Alpe Lusia has a proposal: take a sled and slide down the Fraina slope. A magical experience for young and old people, in the snowy forests of Alpe Lusia, speeding along the 2100 m length, between curves, straight lines and changes of slopes.
SNOWSHOE. Looking for something more relaxing? The enchanting trails in the heart of the woods of Alpe Lusia are waiting for you with open arms. Both are accessible on foot or with snowshoes, the first if you choose a more comfortable and already beaten route, the second if you want to venture into the fresh snow and enjoy the silence of nature alone but in total safety.

The rooms at the Lusia Refuge are Alpine-style, typical to the point for resting after a day of experiences on the Lusia Alps, including trails, sports and outdoor activities.
The rooms are different types, single, double and family, all have private bathrooms, bed and bath linens, are equipped with soap and bath foam dispensers one of our efforts to limit–as much as possible–plastic consumption.
Transport from the parking lot of Bellamonte for those who sleep in the shelter in winter is charged, and must be requested at the time of booking, while the descent is autonomous for all on foot or by cable car.
The free shuttle service for transport to the refuge is exclusively from and to the top station of the Bellamonte 3.0 cable car.

RENTAL
At the ski lifts departures, both in Bellamonte and Moena, a wide range of snow equipment is available for hire. You can start your winter experience by choosing between skis, snowshoes and even sledges at reasonable prices without the obligation to bring them from home or from the hotel where you are staying.
SKIBUS
Get rid of unnecessary burdens and choose to reach the Alpe Lusia with ski bus service that departs from both Moena and Predazzo to accompany you directly on the slopes. A choice that, in addition to comfort, is definitely sustainable.
TRANSPORT

The snowmobile, compatible with weather conditions, is active from the beginning of the season to the end of the winter season.
The shuttle service to and from the cable car upstream is free.

Food is part of the journey. Alpe Lusia can satisfy all your culinary desires. At Rifugio Lusia the options are particularly traditional, there is a choice for every palate, from the Trentino tradition to the Mediterranean recipe to the Marche one, a tasty grilled meat or something more sophisticated, our Chef Guido is an excellence.
And if you don’t want to steal too much time from the snow there is always the opportunity of a snack or a board “on the fly” maybe in the sun on the terrace.
With each dish you will always have the opportunity to combine a fragrant and selected wine from Trentino, Marche or a local craft beer and conclude with the aroma of local grappa. Before putting the skis on your feet, it is necessary to respect the tradition and promote digestion with a “schnaps”.
And at the end of the day, when you take off your skis or board, don’t forget about the Après Ski. The perfect way to end a day in the snow, where you can relax and listen to some music at the start of the lifts in Bellamonte, in Zirmo’s Arena.

For little ones who want to get familiar with the snow, the Alpe Lusia Ski Area offers activities designed especially for them.
The Laricino Free Baby Park in Bellamonte and the Valbona School Camp in Moena offer ski lessons and fun activities guided by expert instructors. Diving into the world of skiing has never been so easy and fun!
BABY CLUB and KINDERGARTEN.
When they still do not know how to ski, there are indoor and outdoor areas with babysitting service where your children can have fun while you enjoy a few hours on the skis in total freedom. The Lusialand Park in Moena and the Gnomes Lair in Bellamonte have been designed to give every member of the family moments of leisure and fun.

We have been coming to this lodge for a few years to spend the wee. Very clean and cozy rooms. Excellent managers and service. Great location for both easy and challenging walks. The formula with half board is an ‘opportunity to taste the local specialties, expertly presented by the chef!
Wonderful lodge, located in the middle of the ski area it offers a beautiful view and is very comfortable: I went skiing with friends, you wake up in the morning and as soon as you leave you are already on the slopes. They also offer half board: the breakfast good, with local pastries and cold cuts. While dinner a treat, every night different and typical local dishes. Not to mention the owners, very nice young guys always available if needed.
We spent a wonderful weekend with our little girls in a majestic landscape. As a first experience in these places we easily reached, through the trails, all the activities dedicated to children, which we had set out to know.
Reception of the staff excellent. The owner helpful and present. Excellent rooms , good breakfast. The typical cuisine is a pleasure for the palate, well served.
I stayed at the Lusia refuge with my family. As soon as we arrived we were greeted warmly and with sincere kindness. We spent 3 peaceful nights, accompanied by the soft sounds of the mountains. In the morning the awakening is almost magical, and you then realize that you are surrounded by the imposing Dolomites. The food is of excellent quality and prepared with excellent expertise by the chef. The staff is young and eager and always with a kind smile ready to fulfill every need.
